When a 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar and Thailand, a 36-year-old father in Bangkok didn’t hesitate—he jumped across a crumbling skybridge between two skyscrapers, then sprinted down 52 flights to reach his wife and baby daughter.
His family only found out about the daring leap when they saw it on the news.
“There was no time to think,” he said. “All I could think was, ‘Survive this…and get to my family.’”
