These elderly care home residents were delighted by some unusual visitors – Alpacas. Carmelo and Jura visited Hollybank care home in Northwest England for an animal therapy session. They were petted, fed and loved on by the excited residents before returning to Wreay Skye Aplacas farm. Animal therapy is proven to have physical, emotional, and cognitive benefits. “You can see the sheet delight appear on their faces as soon as the animals enter the room,” Jenny Oliver, coordinator of Hollybank. The care home has brought in an array of animals for the residents to meet. Last month, it was owls. Next month it’s pygmy goats! (SWNS) #goodnews #alpacas #animals #seniors #animaltherapy
