We love a good comeback story! Congrats, Dee! Repost lifeonthedeelist: I ran Twin Cities Marathon back in 2010 after only 4 knee surgeries and then had to step away from running for over 10 years + 4 more knee surgeries. During that time, I often said “I’ll never run again with these knees”, but spent every Marathon Sunday on Summit dreaming. God always shines on Marathon Sunday! ✨ This process took an arsenal and required a lot of strategy, prehab and recovery. Under the guidance of the traininghaus crew (mtkiely9 soliedpt doneycp), I spent all of spring and most of summer rebuilding the muscles around my knee, some that hadn’t even activated in a long time. I felt old and out of place, but I was reminded to trust the process.
