Check out our artist of April, Teena! Their work is up all month on the 973 side, and is available to buy-and-take all hanging pieces!
Here's a bit about Teena!! 🙏
My name is Teena Manuel. I am a local nonbinary queer artist and drag performer. I make art in many forms, from painting to performance and every medium in between.
While drag is a form of protest for me, my 2D works are more about the joy of simply existing. As a queer person, our existence is often seen as a form of resistance. My art explores the joy and pain of self-discovery and presence in one’s body. I have always seen the human form as a love letter from the universe, full of communication from our ancestors and teachings of compassion.
I use a variety of mediums, including: colored pencil, pastel, acrylic paint, and my favorite- crayon!
✨✨
Come check out their work on the east side (members side) all month!! Their pieces are huge and priced to sell! Prints available as well!
