Hip mobility is essential to proper full functioning of the hip joint. Mobile hips allow us to become more powerful and perform functional movements more efficiently. For individuals who sit a lot greater hip mobility will aid in helping with issues such as back pain and knee pain that can be caused from over compensation. The hips are one of the most common sites of poor mobility, therefore many of us will experience a dysfunction and loss of strength in that area. It is very important to find a healthy balance between mobilizing and strengthening the hips.
I like to do about 5-10 min every day before strength training. It’s been a great habit to establish and my I can 100% say that my range of motion has increased dramatically.
