A rich history of racing. #DidYouKnow - The first Detroit Grand Prix took place in 1982 as a Formula One race through the streets of downtown Detroit?! In 1989, it became a CART-sanctioned race, and in 1992, the race was moved to Belle Isle. After the success of the Super Bowl in Detroit in 2006, the Grand Prix returned to Belle Isle in 2007 thanks to Roger Penske and the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP). The event was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but returned in 2021 with limited attendance. In 2023, the Grand Prix returned to the Downtown Detroit streets for the first time since 1991. Don’t miss out on this historic race, happening today and tomorrow. #DetroitGrandPrix #RECAROAutomotive #WorldofRECARO
