A 404 story. It’s not a secret that running can be intimidating to some people. Add that fear to being in a large crowd while doing it and it becomes easy to understand why many Atlantans find a reason to never “join a run club.” As someone who was once in those shoes, Atlanta Run Club co-captain Maurice Garland tries his best to help people see past those mental barriers and make them feel like “you’re with us now.”
Every Monday when he hosts our flagship run at Ponce City Market he works alongside his fellow run leads and ARC welcome crew to create an inviting atmosphere for every runner, whether they are taking their first steps or recovering from their last marathon.
