Oh I got the concept alright and I’m ALL. FOR IT. I went to the @duckdonuts in Garden City Park, LI as they’re known to have halal (beef) bacon and halal s’mores options as toppings on their donuts. It’s Muslim-owned (although they do have lucky charms toppings that isn’t halal. Maybe a corporate thing). All toppings are in their own separate shakers btw. But let’s get back to that maple bacon donut. It was actually my FAVORITE donut out of the whole dozen I selected. It had a good balance of sweet, salty, and the bacon had the right amount of crumble. The donuts are also fried fresh per order and they have a wide variety of toppings.
