This is a picture I will always cherish, although it is very bittersweet. We took this photo on the last birthday that we unknowingly spent together. This is how I will always remember you, because it’s how you greeted everyone, with that big heartwarming smile. Every so often, Kati and I catch the little one looking up in the corner of a ceiling or particularly at the kitchen table, looking outside at the tree and just smiling. I like to think it’s God giving you a little room time from heaven to just swing by and wave at your granddaughter. Happy heavenly birthday and know that you are remembered and still so very loved.
