Senior Sunday: Comm 25 Spotlight - Delaney Kearns My time in the Communication Department has been incredibly enriching. I’ve gained valuable skills, from understanding the difference between “Communication” and “Communications” (thanks, Dr. Funkhouser!) to hands-on media experience in COM 484, sharpening my journalistic skills in ENG 416, and tackling global issues in COM 417. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the power of effective communication. Dr. Ariel E. Seay-Howard’s lessons will stay with me throughout my career and life. I’m also grateful to my CHASS academic advisor, Cynthia Zuckerman Hyman, who not only helped me navigate class enrollment but also took a personal interest in my life outside of school, offering thoughtful class recommendations and showing immense patience with my emails.
