I had an opportunity to join the Tom Joyner Morning Show the same year I started at The Daily Show (2015), but the pressures of learning that job, late nights in comedy clubs prepping my first hour special, and a new born child made it impossible to find the time to be a part of the show in a way that would've lived up to the standards that so many comedians before me had set.
