Every person arrested in Hennepin County is brought into a loading bay where law enforcement vehicles constantly enter, idle and exit. Last year, the Sheriff’s Office processed 25,296 people through the jail. For every felony arrest, a rotating team inside the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office takes police reports and has 48 hours to file criminal charges.
