Steelers NFL draft targets: Could TreVeyon Henderson give Arthur Smith a Joe Mixon-like weapon?
Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo analyzes Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson and his potential fit with OC Arthur Smith's offense in the NFL draft. Henderson isn’t big, but he averaged 7.1 yards per carry for the Buckeyes in 2024. He’s the big-play threat the Steelers want in a running back, with ability to break a big run from anywhere on the field. He also adds great value in the passing game as a pass protector and receiver. He had 27 catches for 284 yards last season. Ray feels his game could be similar to that of Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon as he tries to find his place in the backfield with Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell following the departure of Najee Harris.
