A freshman led the way with three goals while Eric Gioia ’25 won 95% of his faceoffs as Canisius allowed only one goal in the second half to win their first major Monsignor Martin Athletic Association matchup of the season.
Wyatt Van Tine ’28 of Hamburg scored three goals, Braxton Kilgour ’26 of Niagara Falls had two and Gioia of Buffalo also contributed a goal and two assists. Goalie Nick Dutrieux ’26 of Lewiston had 10 saves.
The game was tied 3-3 at halftime. Cameron Gallagher ’25 of the Town of Tonawanda added a goal while Chris Sweeney ’26 of Ridgeway, Ontario and Dan Sugg ’25 of Lancaster each had an assist.
