EDITORIAL | With a large pool of experienced contenders, and limited positions, the 2025 ASUC race reflects more than just student ambition. As attacks on higher education escalate across the country, the student government at UC Berkeley can no longer be viewed as symbolic. In selecting our endorsements, we looked for candidates who could not only withstand the pressures from a looming administration, but are politically conscious and unafraid to fight back. Over the course of the past week, The Daily Californian’s Editorial Board researched and conducted interviews with executive and senatorial candidates. After careful deliberation, these are the candidates who were able to cut through the noise of a heated election and who we believe are ready to represent the student body.
