🎓 Meet Mina Lili Kassim, a Fall 2024 undergraduate student commencement speaker! Mina graduated from @au_sis in August 2024, where she studied International Studies. Throughout her time at AU, she balanced her academics with various professional opportunities, including working at her family business, interning at the U.S. Senate, and discovering her passion for law as a paralegal at Cuneo, Gilbert, and LaDuca LLP. Mina grew up in the United States and briefly lived in Turkey during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Kurdish, Iraqi, Iranian, and Muslim woman, she pinpoints her love for AU to its welcoming community. At AU, she formed close connections with her professors and developed strong friendships with her peers, even while studying abroad. Looking forward, Mina is dedicated to pursuing a career in law while continuing her work with her organisation, Youth for Yemen, which focuses on uniting youth to address the Yemeni humanitarian crisis.
