Did you know that insulin was discovered in Ontario? 🥼
The breakthrough treatment for diabetes was discovered at the University of Toronto in 1921 by a team of doctors that included Frederick Banting, Charles Best, and John J.R. Macleod. In 1923, Banting and Macleod received a Nobel Prize in medicine for their work on the discovery of insulin, stimulating further medical research in Canada.
