Milarepa is a great disciple of Marpa and the two are a well-known teacher and student pair within #Buddhist history. Marpa Chokyi Lodro was born in southern Tibet in the year 1012 AD. Throughout his life, he journeyed to Nepal and India, went through great hardship, and studied with great Indian masters, including the famed Mahasiddha Naropa.
