Joining us for our final (and free admission) weekend? Be sure to see recordings of amritkarki_'s latest performance art, recently debuted at nepalartcouncil_ktm "What You Have Given Me, I Set Free Forever". The work, which was held for 5 consecutive days and a total of 30 hours, invited attendees to pour dyed water over the seated artist, who was dressed in all white. The dye colors mirrored the pattern of prayer flags which symbolizes the five elements: air, space, fire, water, and earth. Karki said, โ€œ[...] viewers will witness the gradual accumulation of everything the artist has accepted from them and set free foreverโ€, exploring the influence of the Buddhist philosophy of letting go of earthly burdens and belongings. Experience this and other works in our 20th-anniversary exhibition: ๐™๐™š๐™ž๐™ข๐™–๐™œ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š: ๐™ƒ๐™ž๐™ข๐™–๐™ก๐™–๐™ฎ๐™–๐™ฃ ๐˜ผ๐™ง๐™ฉ ๐™‰๐™ค๐™ฌ before 10/6!
