What is the so-called "SAVE Act"? • Set for a vote in the House this week, the SAVE Act would require all eligible Americans to provide proof of citizenship by presenting a passport or birth certificate when registering to vote. • This does *nothing* to strengthen our elections, and it has a disproportionate impact on Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Asian, and other people of color; plus young and elderly people, disabled populations, those with limited access to transportation, and others who cannot easily get to an election office. • Not to mention, roughly 69 million married and divorced women in the U.S. — which accounts for about 25% of the US citizen voting age population — have IDs that do not match their birth certificates. • Add your name to our letter to Congress at the link in our bio!
