Susan B. Anthony was a key leader in the women's suffrage movement and a social reformer. Her efforts helped lead to the 1920 Nineteenth Amendment, giving women the right to vote. Believing in equality for all, she became an abolitionist and worked with the American Anti-Slavery Society. She was also known for giving powerful anti-slavery speeches, which was uncommon for women at the time.
