A Millville, New Jersey mother said she lost everything after a fire burned through multiple homes on Thursday morning. She had to scoop up her children quickly and escape.
The Millville Fire Department battled flames for hours, and the fire chief said water supply issues and a broken gas line hampered firefighting efforts. When one hydrant near the blaze had issues, firefighters had to lay over 1,000 feet of supply line to two other hydrants to get water.
They also exhausted 1,300 gallons of water aboard the engine and tower trucks.
The American Red Cross has provided emergency financial assistance to three families and services are available to those affected. More details at the link in bio.
