Alongside this year’s Republican and Democratic National Conventions, we installed billboards by hankwillisthomas and carriemaeweems in Milwaukee and Chicago respectively. Over the coming weeks, For Freedoms and Movement Voter Fund will install 8 more anti-partisan billboards and hold a series of artist-led town halls in key states across the country ~ all exploring urgent issues on the ballot this November including Reproductive Freedom and Climate Change. Together, we ask: How can we tap into the creative power of artists and cultural workers to catalyze unprecedented voter turnout, to tell stories that resonate across arbitrary national boundaries?
