Created specifically for For Freedoms, this silkscreen print by artist Hana Ward (hanaisdrawing) features a woman sitting at her kitchen table framed by the window behind her displaying a scene of expansive land that is both tranquil and vast. In addition to being inspired by color relationships, Ward is interested in thought forms and their nature, particularly those thought forms employed to transcend oppression. Many of her paintings depict an inner journey, a character’s travels through space or time to find new doors, pathways, or perspectives.
