During Jamie Lagura’s #RhodyAbroad adventure in Sydney, Australia, she traded the classroom for hands-on experiences across stunning beaches, scenic cityscapes, and wildlife sanctuaries. 🇦🇺☀️ Through CIEE’s January in Sydney program, she studied nature photography, social media, and environmental engagement—snorkeling at Manly Beach, hiking the Blue Mountains, and even meeting koalas and feeding kangaroos! “This trip strengthened my independence and gave me unforgettable life experiences,” Jamie reflected. “My favorite part of the trip was immersing myself in Australian culture, meeting new people in my program, and getting to know locals.” As a communications and public relations double major, she gained real-world experience in social media strategy, engagement tracking, and content creation—skills she’ll carry into her future career.
