Nothing gets us excited for Spring more than painting hundreds of flowers! 🌼 This week was the perfect time to refresh our samples for FAIR JARDINIER on silk, and we just had to take them outside for a little photo shoot in the sunshine! (Please excuse the wrinkles, these pieces are so fresh they haven’t even been heat-set yet! 💙) Inspired by the textiles represented in French Impressionistic painting, the partially transparent flowers of this pattern emulate the iconic stylization of the time. Each budding peony is outlined twice; first on the raw silk, then again on a freshly painted background, creating a layered, floating effect.
