Yesterday I kept wondering to myself why the small creeks that took out so many sections of roadways were so much worse than any other flooding/flash flooding that had been ongoing across the areas of South Carolina I was in. Well, later that afternoon I found out. I got word from a local, that he heard that the dam failed up at one of the ponds. Now, normally take these with a grain of salt because word of mouth can be....well....word of mouth. But, I decided to investigate. To my surprise, when I arrived not one, but two dams had failed after this area received another 12in of rain at two different creek beds which would explain why the water appeared to be moving drastically faster than nearby rivers and in town flooding. The aerial views were eye popping. #flooding #southcarolina #southcarolinaliving #southcarolinawater #Helene #rafael #flashflood #flashflooding #disaster #climatechange #climatecrisis #globalwarming #earthextreme #earthoutdoors #earth #natureiswild #natureismet...
