Documented a large, destructive tornado last night in Claremore, Oklahoma. Things escalated so quickly we barely had time to escape. We originally pulled off for gas and noticed a crappy looking tornado warned supercell approaching from the West and we decided to wait to get unspeakable some content of the approaching storm with the sirens going off not thinking much would happen.
When Max and I were west of the city we noticed a rapid increase of a couplet on Velocity and slowly meandered East and pulled off again. We noticed an extremely tight couplet and we mumbled to each other "we need to get out of town right now."
As we got to i44 a ton of power flashes started going off but we were pinched between one road and the tornado. So on the fly I got us on i44 North to at least keep ahead of the tornado and prevent us from being hit by any occlusion if there were to be one. As we cleared its path many more power flashes were going off and it scooted just to our South as it crossed ...
