My goal when I started this new year was to be more confident in myself and my forecasting/chasing. Not giving up so early ect. I may have not been getting the prettiest of tornadoes but I sure have been maximizing what circumstances I have been given. When I came into Slidell, LA the storm appeared as if it was on a dying trend. But, as I jumped back onto the Northward interstate I noticed a rapid increase in inflow (and I mean RAPID). I knew I'd be pitched if I got onto i12 but before I did so I made with absolute certainty that the Mesocyclone was drifting Northwest away from me just before it was absorbed into the squall line. Then I went hell or highwater and creeped up i12 on the North of Slidell where the tornado would first touch down and rapidly expand before the whole meso eventually sat down just North of the interstate as it took down powerlines.
