As a hard-core adventurer, and have seen a lot of cool things on my 30 years. I'm hear to tell you a total solar eclipse is top tier on things you can witness. When I left Oklahoma for Oregon in 2017 I didn't really know what to expect. What I got, was my mind throttled by epicness. I'm convinced time stands still just before totality. 10,000+ people were at this event and it was so quiet before totality you could hear a pen drop. A nearby passing train stopped, passing cars stopped, and as the shadow passed over, a roar loud enough to send shivers down your spine pierced into the skies. Seeing so many people, so happy and mind blown by nature's fireworks is the most wholesome scene you can witness.
