Finally starting to dive into my photos from my trip to New Zealand and man. I'm still just blown away by how epic that country is. I was also shocked that some national parks still exist that aren't overrun with people. While camping at Fiordland National Park, skies finally cleared and revealed the amazing night skies of the Southern Hemisphere. I've always wanted to see The Magellanic Clouds, which are two dawrf galaxies only visible in the Southerh Hemisphere. The night I captured them a very faint and brief Aurora Australis display even occurred giving a faint, tinted red behind the mountain peaks while meteors show across the skies almost the entire time I was out.
