1-year-old Kayden has 11q12 deletion disorder that severely affects both of his kidneys. Kayden started dialysis when he was 7 months old and continues to be on it for 10 hours daily. He is followed by our multidisciplinary team for end-stage renal disease and will be considered for a kidney transplant soon. Despite his health challenges, Kayden's mom, Brittany, says her son is thriving and meeting most of his milestones.
