Diagnosed in utero with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a #congenitalheartdefect, 18-year-old Antonio still remembers coming to our Cardiac Center throughout his childhood for check-ups. He also remembers that from about the age of 6, he would ask his cardiologist the same question at each visit: “Can I play football?” And every time he asked, the answer was no...until it wasn’t.
