#CHOPHeartWarrior Hunter loves playing music, participating in his school’s marching band, and running cross country. But when he had an emergency cardiac episode earlier this year, his active lifestyle came to a pause. Here, he was treated for permanent junctional reciprocating tachycardia (PJRT), an abnormally fast heartbeat, and underwent an ablation surgery. During his recovery in our Cardiac Center, our music therapy team helped Hunter fulfill one of his requests: play the Steinway piano located in our hospital atrium. A talented and self-taught pianist, Hunter captivated staff and families who paused in their travels to listen to him play. He said it was “one of the best moments ever!” ❤️
