❤ APPALACHIAN GIRL: After Helene, many little girls in Appalachia were forced to navigate the grief and heartache of having their world – and childhood – upended. To help them, Floridian Angela Tilsher and her daughters have been sending the girls restored American Girl dolls. Learn about their work through the link in bio. 📷 1 - One of the restored dolls stands where floodwater completely submerged Swannanoa, North Carolina. 📷 2 - Tilsher's daughter Kenzie prepares the dolls, which are sent in backpacks for easy transport. 📷 3 - A girl hugs her new doll. 📷 4 - Kenzie and her sister Kayleigh stand with a girl who they gifted with a doll. #helene #appalachia #americangirldoll #northcarolina #swannanoa #tennessee #virginia #foxweather
