Georgian architecture, named after British monarchs George I, George II, George III and George IV who reigned in the 18th to 19th centuries, is a showstopper. The symmetrical and storied red brick exterior with black window shutters is typically fronted by an expanse of lawn, most often seen in the U.S. on estates in the Northeast and South. But occasionally, the look pops up in Portland. Photos provided by Justin Jones / Jones Media Group #homes #portland #georgianstyle #architecture
