Register to Bid | 1985 Porsche 911 3.2-Litre Carrera Supersport Targa 🇩🇪
Introduced in 1984, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 marked the return of the iconic “Carrera” name and featured a heavily revised 3.2-litre flat-six engine—80% new and delivering 231bhp (207bhp in North America)—bringing performance close to the original 911 Turbo. Updates included an improved cam chain tensioner, a proper oil cooler with a fan (added in 1987), and Bosch L-Jetronic fuel and ignition management. Available as a Coupé, Targa, or Cabriolet, only minor cosmetic changes occurred during its production. Among the most collectible variants is the M491 ‘Supersport’ or ‘Turbo Look’, styled like the 911 Turbo with wide arches, a large rear wing, and upgraded suspension, brakes, and wheels. This rare Grand Prix White Targa example—believed to be one of only 75 built—was originally delivered by Charles Follett Limited and underwent an extensive £40,000 restoration, including an £11,000 engine rebuild.
