Spent today at The Capitol for #Grammysonthehill 2025 Advocacy Day. Joined some of my fellow recordingacademy Creatives to advocate for the protection of Creators’ rights and highlight important changes that need to be made to properly benefit our music community One of the most important things to note is that today, the #NOFAKES Act was reintroduced in Congress. This would allow Creators proper protection from the unauthorized use of their likeness by AI. Also fighting hard for the HITS ACT. This would allow Independent Artists like myself, a small but effective tax deduction for recording costs (comparable to the tax incentive that has already been made available to those in the film & tv industry) which could ultimately allow us access to more resources and more time to CREATE; not hustle.
