All around the world, from grassroots organizations to global leaders, people are coming together to protect and restore our oceans—we see you. But no matter how hard we work, we can’t effectively protect marine ecosystems if we continue to overlook the root causes, like oil and gas exploration.
Not only do these activities fuel the climate crisis, they also rely on seismic blasting, which sends deafening soundwaves through the ocean every 10 to 15 seconds for weeks at a time. This noise pollution harms marine life from the tiniest krill to the largest whales.
Following
oceancare.international’s lead, we’ve joined over 100 environmental organizations in an open letter calling for an end to offshore fossil fuel activities. Join us in spreading the word. Your voice is vital to ensure these fundamental threats are addressed at the UN Ocean Conference this June.
