KNIGHTS 11, EAGLES 1: The varsity baseball team returned to the win column and then some Tuesday night with a thumping of the Cedar Creek Eagles in a run-rule shortened game on Tuesday at Northwest Park.
Cedar Creek is a new team to the Mac’s district this year, so the Knights weren’t sure what to expect going into Tuesday’s first game of this week’s two-game series with the Eagles. The result of the game allowed the team to change the subject after two tough losses to Anderson the week before and finish out their district season with confidence.
Junior Max Satterwhite, in the midst of a strong season, hit a home run–his fourth of the season–in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Knights 12th and final run.
“The fourh felt pretty good, just as good as all the other ones,” Satterwhite said. “I just hope to continue the pattern going forward.”
