On Nov. 21, Solicitor Byron Gipson spoke at a conference hosted by the Emerson Collective in San Francisco, sharing about the Bench Warrant Resolution Clinics organized by the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office. These clinics, which began with Solicitor Gipson’s E Pluribus Unum fellowship, help individuals resolve bench warrants for non-felony offenses, offering a path to more favorable legal outcomes without arrest. Since becoming an E Pluribus Unum Fellow in 2020, Solicitor Gipson has organized five clinics starting in 2021. To date, more than 200 people have resolved their warrants by addressing fines or setting new court dates.
