🔬 Meet our 2025 True Blue Fellow, Jing Graber, and her project, FibreFusion! 🔬 Jing is merging science and art to raise awareness about plastic pollution. Her project, FibreFusion, involves designing a 3D-printable microfiber-winding device to support researchers in tissue sample preparation—saving time, money, and resources. She also plans to patent the design and make it accessible to the global research community. On the creative side, Jing is using her device to create glowing microfiber art. Her paintings, made with lipophilic-stained fibers suspended in clear paint, will reveal hidden layers of pollution under UV light—visually connecting ocean animals with the invisible threat of microplastics. As a True Blue Fellow, Jing receives mentorship and support to bring science, tech, and storytelling together for ocean advocacy.
