This could’ve ended in tragedy. 😰 Last night, just before 9PM, a DUI driver was swerving across lanes, running red lights, and drinking from an open bottle while behind the wheel—endangering everyone on the road. Thanks to a quick-thinking community member who called it in and gave constant updates, Santa Clarita deputies located the vehicle and detained the driver before someone got seriously hurt or killed. The driver couldn’t safely pull over or stand on their own. 🥴 Multiple large open bottles of alcohol were found in the car. This is what reckless driving looks like—flagrant disregard for human life. When a driver is so impaired that their behavior presents a clear and present danger to the public, deputies will act swiftly to get them off the street!! 💪🏼🥲 The driver was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was towed. ‼️ There’s no excuse.
