I walked 10K steps every single day for 1 year straight. Here’s how I did it: Good walking shoes were essential. I wear hoka at home and when I go for walks outside but I also love drscholls_official Time Off Sneakers when I’m out and about. (They’re super comfy and great for walking around the neighborhood.) I have a treadmill desk (it’s a regular treadmill and my husband built a desk attachment to go on top of the handlebars) and that’s the MAIN reason I was able to consistently hit my step goal. I usually work on it for 1-2 hours in the morning when I start my work day. I didn’t notice any dramatic changes to my health, weight, endurance, etc. but I’ve been in a 10K step habit for years, so I didn’t really expect any major changes. If I do want it to feel more like a workout, I’ll walk on an include, sometimes with a weighted vest. Consistency really is key.
