A giraffe, who zoo staff did not know was pregnant, gave birth to a baby. Four-year-old Kipepeo, a reticulated giraffe, arrived at the Maryland Zoo in November. In March, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl – completely unexpected. Giraffes can be pregnant for 15 months, so Kipepeo was carrying her baby when she arrived and surprised the zoo with her bundle of joy. #giraffes #babyanimals #giraffe
