Trump administration cuts are threatening to dismantle the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team — a group of scientists responsible for long-term monitoring and research efforts on grizzly bears in @yellowstonenps and @glaciernps. It's thanks to the work of this study team that Yellowstone grizzlies have been pulled back from the brink of extinction. Their work also been instrumental in preventing bear conflicts with people and helping grizzlies expand across the Greater Yellowstone and Northern Continental Divide ecosystems. Losing this team could send this population into another downward spiral.
