An armed intruder was apprehended near UnitedHealthcare’s headquarters in #Minnetonka, Minnesota. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old lan Wagner, arrived at the campus around 11 a.m. and threatened violence if certain demands were not met. He contacted the FBI upon arrival, and negotiators successfully persuaded him to surrender peacefully within approximately 45 minutes. Authorities found a firearm in the front seat of Wagner’s vehicle, which was stopped by parking lot barriers before reaching the building. Wagner’s mother stated that he intended to “make a statement” about the healthcare system in general, not specifically targeting UnitedHealthcare, and noted that he is dealing with mental illness and is on the autism spectrum. 👀
