It’s been a while since my first ultra marathon – 100km with my boys lukasmuelr and domi.hmn. Back then, we had no clue what we were doing. Just pure curiosity, friendship, and the question: “Can we actually do this?”
That run shifted something in me. I started seeing running not just as a sport, but as a mindset.
Last year, my health hit me hard. I was constantly battling setbacks and had to pause more than I wanted. Slowly, I’ve been getting back into it – and a few days ago I thought: why not try 50km again?
I knew it wasn’t the smartest idea. No real prep. No build-up. But I needed to prove something to myself. And let’s be honest – if we only made smart decisions, life would be boring as hell.
So I went out. No race, no pressure. Just me, the road, and a little fire inside telling me I’m not at zero – just not at 100% right now. And that’s more than enough to move.
