To kick off our at-home
#DJspotlight series, we’re featuring The Zoetrope!
Her show consists of some rock and punk during the first hour, followed by a blend of indie pop, electronic, and r&b later on (which you can hear on her KCPR Spotify playlist).
The Zoetrope cites “Wildflower" by
@theavalanches as the album that got her through quarantine. “The transitions between songs on that album are so smooth, it's so cool to me, and I really gain a lot of inspiration from it in terms of creating transitions between songs for my show. It's really unique and genre-bending.”
"Every time I'm recording, without fail, my dad asks me to play different punk songs that are far too obscene to play on the airwaves. (sorry dad!)"
