Happy World Art Day!
On April 15, World Art Day celebrates creativity in all its forms, aiming to promote the development, dissemination, and appreciation of art.
Today is also an important day, as 150 years ago, on April 15, 1874, the first impressionist exhibition opened at 35 boulevard des Capucines in Paris. Thirty-one artist - including Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot, Pissarro, Sisley, and Cézanne - came together to stage their own show outside the official Salon. This bold act of independence marked the birth of a revolutionary art movement.
